Recap of the 2013 WARDJet Open House

The 2013 WARDJet Open House was a success! Guests toured our Tallmadge, Ohio facilities to glimpse the latest developments in waterjet technology and learn more about our company. On the production floor, open house visitors watched the waterjet robot carve faces into foam pumpkins, received an introduction to the low cost Emerald Series waterjet, and learned how they could save money on waterjet abrasive by using the WARD Pro recycling system. In the conference room, speakers touched on many important topics, including programming for 5-axis, customizable waterjets, and robotic applications and software. Open house visitors were encouraged to attend their choice of demonstrations or presentations as well as explore our facility and meet WARDJet employees.
Many customers, local businesses, government officials, members of the press and university students were in attendance during the two day event. WARDJet was pleased to host officials such as Mayor David Kline from the city of Tallmadge and Ohio State Representative Anthony DeVitis. Special guest Steve MacCutcheon, a WARDJet-sponsored professional snowboarder, was also at the event to speak about his experiences working towards the 2014 Winter Olympics.

At the conclusion of Wednesday’s open house showing, WARDJet invited friends and family members of employees for a special event to display current waterjet innovations as well as thank everyone for their hard work and dedication. There was a great turn out of people who came to support their loved one’s work at WARDJet!

WARDJet thoroughly enjoyed the opportunity to have conversations with so many intriguing individuals over the course of the two day open house event. A big thank you to all who were able to attend the open house and make the event such a success!
